Gone to GA Before the Second Blizzard
I was glad that I left last Sunday. Originally it was supposed to be Saturday with Mindi but her flight was canceled last Friday due to a bad snowstorm. It was kind of real bad and I was not sure if I would be able to make it home from work last Friday. But I did. Boy, Mindi really was so upset they canceled her flight but she’s happy now that I have moved to the new home with her.
My dad had to go to work Saturday morning but his truck got stuck so he had to shovel and plow the driveway. Even then, he had to wait to leave until they plowed the road in front of the house. I have to say it was really bad but beautiful. Later it got better but was very messy out there. I was determined to go on Sunday, not Monday (meant I would have to give up a day off which “I don’t think so” unless it’s absolutely necessary). Keep in mind, my truck is two wheel drive (RWD), not four and it’s high suspension level. Anyway snow stopped in the late afternoon and the sky became clear and the back road was finally plowed. Dad just blazed to work that day.
So last Sunday I did leave for GA. It was so beautiful but I didn’t have a chance to take pictures in the beginning cuz I was driving and my camera was in the box that I can’t reach. Nuts! Until I got gas in Greensburg, PA then I was able to my grab camera and I was ready to go.
After I passed Summersville, WV, everything became less and less snowy. Well I’m home safely now. I feel bad that they’re going to have a second blizzard coming but I miss the opportunity to take a lot of beautiful pictures like some friends did. Dooh! Well I know I will see it again someday when i have a vacation like in Colorado, PA, or VT. Well everything’s good in GA so far but it’s just that I have a lot of things on my plate now. Hope one day my parents will be able to move to the south. Real soon I hope!
